The company was established in 1944 and named after its founder "Spreafico Franco", whose merit was to have designed and built machines for the production of steel wool which process was in total absence of oil.
In 1974 it became an independent company.
C.M.S.'s machines were sold to most manufacturers of steel wool all over the world.
Developing its founder's intuition and working in strict cooperation with Solana's R&D department, C.M.S. has created new machines and mills for the production and transformation of different kinds of metallic wools, intended for the production activities of Green Steel Group's factories.
Continuous studies have aimed at creating innovative technologies and developing new production methods obtaining a more and more outstanding product quality and increased production capacity.
